I heard the other day that Scottish & Southern had submitted their application to SEPA to revise the compensation flows etc in the Garry and other abstracted burns in the area.
There is some news on the Tay DSFB website http://www.tdsfb.org./rivergarrylatest.htm It will be worthwhile keeping an eye on the website for updates. The Tay DSFB themselves have only just seen the application or are about to see it, but I would expect news on the details soon.
The public response on this issue will be vital. If you care about the Tay please take the time to have a look.

It will be great if they can get water back in the Garry again to allow Salmon to spawn in the once great river, it will be better than having another hatchery on the Tay system. Thanks for sharing that BnC.

I thought the Tay board did a great job on this issue; this is one thing that they do understand very well. The problem has been that SSE took so long to submit the application. I don't know what the application says maybe it contains some good proposals for the Garry. SSE are sure to have taken heed of the petition etc.
