Recently i've been having a go at tying Irish shrimp style flies and came up with this: How to cobble it together: Hook: In this case a size 9 Salar Single but any would do Thread: Uni 8/0 Red Tail: Golden Pheasant Breast Feather (Wound plus four strands of Copper Krystal Flash tied in on top Rib: Uni Fine Oval Tinsel Rear Body: Orange Ice Yarn Mid Hackle: Hot Orange Badger Front Body: Orange Ice Yarn Front Hackle: The big feathers from the tail end of a Jungle Cock Cape, one of. Cheeks: Jungle Cock (optional as it works with or without) Head: A few coats of clear varnish of your choice I recently acquainted myself with ice yarn and have to say it really lets me fish with confidence as i've had quite a few offers on flies tied with it. I have no idea if this is a pattern that already exists or not but it did the business for me today with two fish lost and one 4lb Grilse landed. In addition here's a couple of Kylies (or my interpretation of them anyway ) that I tied recently. Any comments criticisms welcome. Paul

They're great Paul
I like my middle hackle points to reach the bend of the hook but that's just me I'm sure others like them shorter.

All good, but #3 is off the charts.
