had two days at Cairnton Fri/Sat but arrived to find the river at 5ft and risng only one kelt caught by one of the other rods and by the end of the day it was at 7ft! the following day it had dropped back to 5ft i set up two rods one with a Guideline sink1/2 and the other with int/sink1 both with blk/yell Monkeys fished Grey Mare and Upper Ferroch with the sink1/2 but just felt that i was fishing to deep so swapped over to the int/1 and headed for Middle Ferroch i was half way down when Dave the Ghillie arrived just at that i hooked a fish but it turns out to be a kelt i fish the rest of the pool and head down to Lower Ferroch again iam half way down the pool when i see a fish show in the tail half a dosen casts later and my rod is almost pulled out of my hand! iam not going to bore you with pics heres the video the camera is a Tachyon xc hd headcam lc

Well done Dunc, That is exactly where i lost the fish on the wednesday before the water came up and turned the run into a "torrent," still, enjoyed my two days, lovely beat, was a pleasure to spend time on such a historical beat with a superb ghillie!!

Cracking video, I really enjoyed it. I tailed a fish for Graeme Ritchie from that exact point earlier this month.
It was good to see such care taken of the fish, before its return.
I would invest in a head cam, but the hours of boring footage would depress me.
I am better suited to just jumping in and having a look!!!
top job! D
