ballingall
Your waders will either have a porus area or much more likely are leaking from a seam. This is a straightforward repair and once done should last for years, it is probably the typical wader problem!
Stevie, easy fix. Repair with bostic 2402, taped in the inside and then the excess glue washed off with MEK, you would hardly see it if done properly!
Pm me for details and we can discuss postage and how quickly i can do them, should you want to go ahead!

Yes, i have done quite a few of these. If you have the boots just send them to me. if the leg length doen not need to be changed then it is quite a straight forward job
cheers

Okay that's great I will need to get new boots preferably with felt soles and a few heel studs, any recommendations.
I could cut boots of an old pair of waders and get the felt re-done, is that an option.
Cheers Lawrence

That would work well, send them both to me, dont cut them up yet as i need to match the leg taper and may need additional material to do this for you.
Cheers

Ok Dave I'll do that Ross may be able to pick them up from me next time he's in Inverness. When that will be I'm not sure but there's no hurry as I can make do with my other waders.
Cheers

In the last fortnight i have considerably improved our procedures. We have changed our pressure tester, so it if far better with neoprenes, and far more efficient with breathables. it has a guage so we know exactly the pressure in the wader. Most of the repairs are done by spraying now, and this is far neater, we also hardly mark the waders now, as the spraying is far quicker, but uses far more glue! Finally, we have done some serious testing of the glue mixture and have slightly improved upon this, so it sprays better, impregnates the material better and is incredibly strong yet flexible. It really soaks in now, and is hardly seen in the first couple of coats, and it is only the last few that mean it shows. Since it is in the inside you only see it if you look for it! We have computerised the system now, so we know exactly what we have done, when it was done and problems we have found, so we now give a years guarantee for our repairs, and then after this give half price repairs for the following two years, all you have to do is post the waders to us year one, and then pay the postage both ways the following years. Our repairs will not stop the waders from leaking, it just stops the seams from leaking. It does not make the thorn or bear proof! We have developed a technique to fully seal waders, for porous ones, this is now really strong. Ok, they are no longer breathable, but they will not leak again. I am doing further testing on this at the moment but if it works like i think it will it will make for seriously strong waders. Thanks Dave www.wader-repair.co.uk
