I plan to go back again next year in January as team leader as the lodge is split into east and west wings-team leader Nic Jepson has his 60 th birthday so will not be allowed to go which is sad for him as he's been going for 9 consecutive years. I am meeting Reid in a few weeks and we shall finalise costs etc for those interested in going. I can honestly say that for me its the best fishing I have ever done and unbelievable value for the costs involved-10 days for £4500 last year in a quite stunning lodge. All inclusive with 3 first class etcmeals a day-all inclusive for your drinks-they never run out !! Excellent staff who ensure your comfort is their priority. We had 270 fish with an average of 13 lbs.If anyone is interested in finding out more drop me an e-mail to ken@riverdee.org

I am off a week on Friday to Kharlovka and Litza so will sit on the fence a bit here by saying they are differencies between locations. I Have visited Kharlovka, Litza and Rynda 2 years ago towards the end of the season and had 20 for the week to 20 lbs. I was chuffed to get 2 Osenka's (early springers) The camp and operation there is really first class. My only complaint was the time spent walking from drop off to pick up point. Its quite physically demanding as the rivers have steep banks which require a bit of steep walking and rock face negotiation. I am unsure what June fishing will be like but it seems spring has come early so hopefully they will be full of Silver. Mikael Frodin thinks it will be terrific this year so am hopeful. A nice Osenka from Kharlovka Varzuga last year was an interesting trip done on a smaller budget with a bit of travel involved to get to the helicpter pick up at Apetity. The fishing was slow at the beginning as we had a serious drop in temps and heavy snowfall. It warmed during the week and catches improved dramatically as temps rose. I was happy to get 55 salmon for the week with an amazing last day catching 26 salmon to 20 lbs. For numbers of fish this river can certainly provide a lot of action but the camp set up wasn't nearly as good in Upper Varzuga. I believe Roxtons do a good camp in the middle river as others will confirm. A nice Varzuga salmon and one of my 26 fish on the last day Argentina was for me the best fishing holiday I have had to date and I have paid to go back next January and cannot wait for that experience. I have to say Reid Hagelins Global operation has access to some really good value fishing and splendid venues. His website is www.gcof.no where you can find out about the variety of fishing he hosts. He does travel with the parties and has many years of experience fishing around the world. A nice 20lb sea trout from Rio Grande that gave a great fight 5 Minute teaser film with soundtrack by Muse s128.photobucket.com/albums/p198/Greenbanks/?action=view¤t=TeaserArgentina2010MPEG-4-Medium.flv
