A lone angler(and forum member) landed 4 grayling and lost 2 from the beat today. I leave it and hope said angler puts up a wee fishing report. Sorry it has taken so long to give this report but I have been sitting with my hands in the fridge since I came home to heat them up. ;D Here it is. Arrived at Newtyle at eight thirty, met Martin , got geared up and had a couple of runs down a couple of bits,no joy, Martin then suggested he took me over to the other bank in the boat. Once there he showed me the best bits to try and left me to get on with it but to be honest with 4 miles of water to fish and ever bit looking better than the last I was spoiled for choice, everywhere looked as if it would hold fish,I ended up landing four around the pound-pound and a quarter and lost think it was two ,there must be bigger fish lying about in there , ill get them the next time. the only negative of the day was rod choice, I took a match rod with tiny eyes and with it being so cold it was hard to cast and trot the worms down with the ice forming in the eyes perhaps I should have taken a rod with bigger eyes, but i had a gread day, caught fish and a must say a big THANKS to Martin for his help and ferrying me there and back and being an all round top bloke, ill be back for the Graying whenever I can . There is a few of us booked on in the spring and I cant wait.So if ther is any Graling fishers out ther looking for somewhere to fish I can recomend Martin and Newtyle. Thanks again Martin ...Alan

Starting to see rising troots today and the olive hatches are getting more plentyful Loads of huge bumble bees flying around the past 2 or 3 days searching for pollen. Spring is in the air
