Not ever having much success on any spring outings, I really don't talk through experience, but would like a wee shot at Park North on the Dee.
Any body a spare day going ;D

From March onwards Delfur, on the Spey, takes some beating. This beat has some of the finest fly water in the country, not to mention being one of the most productive too.

If forced to choose, and it would be a nice dilemma, I'd probably opt for Rothes & Aikenway, just upstream of Delfur, rather than Delfur. R & A can be as productive but has, to me, a wider variety of pools, every one presenting a different challenge to get the most out of. In addition, R & A has Creichie. If Carlsberg made salmon pools they would be like this!

Twostones.
I know one or two people who fish R&A, they are of the same opinion, up until the end of Spring.
Unfortunately I haven’t fished it yet, but maybe one day. Arndilly is another top Spey beat I have wanted to fish for years.
