Mr Martin, You lie!! Those century spinning rods with fly reel handles on are better! Does the 9/10/11 on them mean the size of rappalla

i have a greys mac martin 10 foot will that be better if i change over to braid? as they dont go far with stren 12lb. Dont really want to buy a new rod for the amount of spinning i do if i can help it. Though i had go with on of these www.savage-gear.com/ecatalogue/Savagegear/flash.html#/3/ and is great fun but would mean buying a new reel as my stradic 6000 is massive any body use these ultra short spinning rods for salmon?

yep got a prologic savagegear 7ft rod, a gem to use with 20lb braid and small shimano twinpower reel, the original macmartin (not greys one) was the best rap rod i have used by far but aint made anymore. Problem with the sonic sk4 10ft one is casting small or floating raps, doesnt load the rod properly, the 8ft and 9ft ones are far better... BJA
