Due to work I had to go and spend ten weeks recently at Corrour Station on the Corrour Estate. The first couple of pics were taken early in the morning on the way to fish the Lochy Loch Osian, from which I had some nice brownies up to 1.5lbs (This was the only day out of the ten weeks where the wind was below 30mph ) Looking towards Corrour Lodge Loch Ghuilbin and River Ossian looking towards Corrour Lodge (had 30 trout out of the river one evening in an hour, not monsters but great fun) At ground level River Ossian looks very like parts of the upper Cassley and screams salmon but sadly due to the dam at Loch Laggan there are none although I reckon there were many years ago. Just for Tone here is the big girl on the track which is 17 miles from the main road to Corrour station. The last one is not from the area but nearby badenoch and strathspey where my mates dad runs a lodge. Apparently this bugger appears on the track every night and chases folk. It tried to get in the window and had a good peck at the front of the car for about 5 minutes Cheers Paul

Halfway on it's way to getting filled mate Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, matured in ruby port casks and only £32 from the distillery, they even give you a free pewter thingy for hanging on your decanter so you know what's in it. And the wee honey in the shop was braw too ;D

Corrour is an amazing place. I was lucky enough to spend some time up there with the deer commission. I Couldn't believe the set up hidden up there. The estate built the keepers their own bar!!!. They spent millions on the estate.

Did you meet a lady called Fran who worked there? I met her whilst working overseas 2 or 3 years ago, not sure if she'll still be at Corrour though.
It looks beautiful, haven't managed to visit yet myself but hope to take the missus late summer.

Loch Osian, from which I had some nice brownies up to 1.5lbs (This was the only day out of the ten weeks where the wind was below 30mph ) Did you fish from the bank or boat? I am thinking about a trip up there at some point this year. Permits required?

From the bank, i'm useless in a boat (I'm not exactly built for rowing ;D) and the estate have decided not to put them on this year as there's loads of big submerged rocks and they keep damaging the props. I was fairly lucky in that the keepers said I could fish wherever I wanted on the estate but to be honest loads of folk fish it for pike unchallenged so reckon you'll be okay, worst case it'd only be a fiver anyway. Pop in to the Station house as Neil that works there is mad for his fishing and could point out some good spots Paul
