I spoke to Ade today and both himself and DR P had fish today UG, I owe you a drink Fresh fish were bloody hard to stop this week mind. They were certainly there but I think running hard and not in the taking frame of mind. Lovely week though. Patrick has some video, I'll ask him to post it Thanks bud Ade Hi All, Here is some footage of last week: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFMu8E7yFOsUnderghillie may recognise one of the fleas.. ;D Well done Ade for his 2 in 20 minutes. If I wasn't on nanny-duty having to have to leave the water to pick up the other lazy-lump from the cottage - just when the water was on fire - who knows whether there were some more fish around. Lesson learnt - when the fishing is good, don't leave until it's not! Cheers, Patrick

Braw video DR P, love the underwater shot of the Green Highlander or was it a Black Highlander ;D Thanks for sharing and well done with yer fish Thanks UG - glad you liked the vid- and thanks for the comments from other members. I think the Highlander might be the black derivative - but would need Ade to confirm. The interesting thing I found was sometimes the colours you see on a fly are very different whilst against an underwater background. There again, I'm no Salmon (well not last time I looked ;D) - so not sure what spectrum they look at. Anyway, if anyone would like to send some fleas for underwater photography testing, I'd be happy to test them out and post a pic

I see that middle beats are doing well-ish, holding up in the face of what I imagine as melt water coming down cold and high. Also imagine that fish have been, and are, rocketing through. No bad thing unless you are there trying to intercept them.
Feb and March results are good for 5 year averages, last year suffered a cold spell, this year is high water. Hope it doesn't all melt next week (weather forecast says it might), we could hope snow will provide water for a bit longer into the season if it stops melting.
Some decent fish showing and being caught though :-)
