Nice tie. It really is a cracking fly. The Ghillie on the Tweed was looking for it in my box on Saturday when I was down there for a few hours. He's a big fan of it when the river is higher. Saturday was gin clear water on the Upper Tweed so it was wee size 12-14 black yins.

Beautiful fly that, what time of year does it work best? Hi TP, I think you will find that underghillie uses it pretty much all year from about when you move over from Tubes to Hooks. And I would do the same. That and the Tronach Shrimp in sizes from 6 to 14 would have you pretty much covered for flies on a lot of the Tay as well as other rivers on the East Coast. tb
