The Floodtide Temple Dog. Hope you like it, Tony Dressing, Tag. silver oval and glo-brite no3 floss. Tail. glo-brite no11 multi-yarn with blac mobile over. Butt. black ice straggle. Body. in 3 parts, yellow lite-brite, orange glister and red glister. Ribs. holographic silver braid and silver oval. Hackle. palmerd long soft yellow. Wing. orange arctic fox, brown raccoon dog, red temple dog and red and yellow flash, yellow arctic fox, yellow ostrich and silver flash over. Hackle. dyed red guinea fowl. Sides. long jungle cock. Cheeks. jungle cock. Head.black cone.

Another superb fly. The two JC feathers look really good, never seen that on a templedog style fly before.

Tony In this case if I'm honset I think it's a little large for the fly, or maybe just the hackles could be denser behind it, to fill the gap around the cone??? I like the shape of the cone, and I'm sure it will help push the water and make the fly swim very nicely it may act in a similar fashion to a turbo disc due the the surface area. How do they cast/ lift off the water?? same drag as a turbo? or out like a bullet

As for casting, they come out of the water just like a normal tube

Tony,
It is a cracking and very fishable fly IMHO
Reminds me of a Yellow Torrish a bit but with Red in it
I am posting a Thread about coneheads as I would like some opinions on positioning before or after or in middle of Wing/Hackle
