Good evening Gents,
The Banana fly, has anyone got any inspiration. Whilst the one featured in T&s last year was nice, I don't fancy spending £40 on materials to recreate it to the letter and loose them wrapped around boulders.
I'm off to Helmsdale in Janurary so colour wise it fits the bill and is close the the Alastair, so it should get a swim their.
Dirty yellow, gold and a natural grizzle sound like they should do the trick on 1-2" copper.

Cracking flies BnC. Where do you get your micro straggle fritz You must have every colour out !!! A wee tackle shop in Ayr the "Big Reel" used to dye it and sell by the mile to trout anglers. I was slow to pick up on it potential for salmon flies and the shop has now closed. I got a few cards on ebay recently but only one or two in useful colours. If I see any more I'll be snapping them up.
