I was channel hopping the other day and saw a bit of a fishing programme and one of the presenters asked the guest what 3 flies would they pick if they could only use three flies all season.
After changing my mind loads, mine would be (I think) March Brown, Woodcock and Hare Lug and a spider version of the Blue Winged Olive.
What would yours be?

1, Gold head PTN (any variant will do). 2, CDC Emerger (any color will do). 3, Woolly Bugger (fish it anywhere).
Three flies to cover all waters. I even fish the Woolly Bugger on my local streams and wild lochs. If you have a flexifloss CDC emerger and need a buzzer just snip off the CDC and away you go. If I had to choose just one it would be the PTN.

Power bait next I think.
