Dave, Flies arrived today. They are brilliant and a great set for the Spring. Pretty much cover all the bases! TT, I have to admit I like your Garry Mouse best of all. Can you please send the link so I can order them!! Nah, seriously, it is a lovely fly for what I want on the end of the line in early Spring. Have you ever tied some with reversing the Hair so it Yellow at the Tail and Red at the head. That is a mighty fine flee for the back end as well. All in all, one of the best swaps I have taken part in - so far! Mucho thanks, of course, again to Dave for organising. tb Cheers TB,the colour combo on a Garry Dog make it a great flee.It works very well on the lower reaches of the Tyne where the fish are fresh off the tide, for some reason brand new fish seem to find blue very tempting :)I'd seen some snaelda patterns and thought...why not, hence the built up body As soon as we get a dropping flood on my local, your flee will be straight on and it'll be a killer, that fox hair moves like nowt else in the quick stuff I'm over the moon with the whole set, great effort and well worth the wait. BTW,has Martin been taking lessons off Mr Black?

Got the flees this morning thanks very much. The Temple shrimp is the big Yellow and Red tube which comes from the Temple pool on the Lees beat of the Tweed, shows up lovely in coloured water, as the lees is below the Teviot we often get a fair bit of broon water and big, so it's my flee of choice when things get difficult usually fished on a wet 4 as its deep, some are tied on light weight brass and some on aluminium. Let the dug see the rabbit and all that ! If I can see the flee I know the fish can see it.
