Love them TB. I am getting a little embarrassed at sending mine to be honest KF Nowt wrong with your flees. I'll bet you a fish is hooked on them!! They look like fishcatchers to me. Flyswaps are all about learning about your own tying as well as from other people so keepplugging away. (BTW I now have the HMH adaptor tool and a 1" tube is about the smallest tube you can tie with it. Great for anything bigger but no good for smaller tubes as you need to feed about a 1/4" or more into the holder so it gets a proper grip. Very solid bit of kit otherwise. Why can it not be made in the UK for less??) tweedbunnet

Cracking looking flys lads.
Kenny your tubes look great bud, don't give yourself such a tough judgement. Lets be right about it.. As far as heads go it is of course nice to open your box and see nice smooth shiny heads on the flies you have tied. But do the fish care if the head is big/small rough or smooth?? I don't think so. The fly's are proportioned well and have a good mix of colour in the wing, and will certainly take fish.
When I tie tubes now I use a craft knife to trim the bucktail or other materials a few mm from the end of the tube, and then with a well waxed thread it's easy to secure the materials without the thread slipping off the end of the tube, fraying.... then breaking....... then causing an outburst of not so good language...... not that it has ever happened to me ;D ;D
Dave.

Great tip Dave I will try that, as it was my main problem in getting the hair cut neat enough at the end of the tube. P.S. Dave PM me you address again for the tubes to be sent. kenny
