18th September 7 the day bloody cold north west wind, hardly saw a fish this morning and what I did see was coloured but 4.00/4.30 good number of fish moving, if we could just get rid of the wind life would be so much better, that's the one thing about the Lees it's windy on a calm day!

Hope he is doing as nature intended soon. I got put off taking heavily coloured fish when I was a youngster. I had never herad of or even seen a coloured fish at that point and thought they were all bright silver, even in October!! Maybe the rod is a beginner/learner like I was at that time. You have to find out most things in Salmon fishing fpr yourself though and there is plenty of info on the web now Really enjoy the reports of the action. Any pics of the Beat? Hope you make the most of your extra day off (!?) as it looks like a big rise again today tb

Going to wait for a sunny day to take some pics, 6'6" with us this morning and broon we might have a go tomorrow but it will not be great fishing, needs to get below 3 foot on our gauge for the top of the beat to fish anything like decent and 2'6" for the middle bottom part to start to come into play, best height around 1'8"
